Successful New Jersey Doctor Falls to His Death On The Last Day of Vacationing With Fiancee

A soon to be wed New Jersey doctor about to begin a promising medical career plummeted to his death from the cliff off the isle of Ibiza while on vacation.

Daniel Sirovich had been holidaying with his fiancée, Kristi Kelly, 28, when he slipped and fell 82 feet while trying to get a photo from the edge of the brink.

Sirovich, 34 and his fiancée was from Kearny while fiancée was from Staten Island. An off-duty nurse at the scene tried to save his life, but it was in vain considering the fall killed him on impact. They had to call off a helicopter sent to airlift him to a local hospital.

Sirovich and Kelly met in school seven years ago, and they were originally supposed to attend a music festival in England that day. However, they changed their plans last minute after the concert rained out.

He had studied at Rutgers University and recently worked at the Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami. He was meant to take a new posting at an intensive care unit in Boston.

Media outlets reported Sirovich got engaged to Kelly who is studying to become a doctor’s assistant, while they were on vacation in Germany, where he proposed to her incidentally. They were supposed to be married early next year.

The tragedy of the incident is it was the last day of the vacation. Sirovich told Kelley to let him go first so that she does not fall. It was quite an ironic statement considering the events that followed.

Before his death, he posted that he was going to Ibiza and wrote something to the effect of finding a sunny place to dance with amazing people when life presents with rain.

Mary Ann Kelly, Kristi’s mother, called it a horrible end to a beautiful romance. They have studied, lived and traveled together. She added that their goal was to heal people.

A Go-Fund-Me page was set up to raise funds to bring his body home for a proper funeral. His friend Gui Ramos wrote that he gave more than a hundred percent to everything he put his mind to, whether that was Kristi, family or friends. He had sacrificed 16 years of life to his studies and work and had finished at the top of his class in medical school.

His soon to be mother-in-law also described him as the most beautiful soul that one could ever meet.
