“Suits” star Gina Torres has confirmed that she and her husband Laurence Fishburne are no longer together.

In a statement to People on Wednesday, Torres revealed that she and Fishburne — who recurs on ABC’s “Black-ish” — split in the fall of 2016. “With heavy hearts, Laurence and I quietly separated and began the dissolution of our marriage in the early fall of last year,” said Torres. “There are no bad guys here. Only a love story with a different ending than either one of us had expected.”

The 48-year-old actress continued, “Happily, however, our family remains intact and we will continue to raise our daughter together with love and joy and awe, as well as raise each other up with respect and love and the continued understanding that we’re in this together, if not side by side.”

Torres and Fishburne, who tied the knot in 2002, welcomed their daughter Delilah in 2007. Fishburne, 56, also has two children, Montana and Langston, from his previous marriage with Hajna O. Moss.

Torres opened up about the split a day after Page Six published photos of her kissing his new boyfriend, Kevin Wright. According to the news outlet, Wright is an entrepreneur and solar energy investor from Utah but now lives in Southern California. Wright was reportedly married for 20 years and recently split with his wife.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Torres admitted that issues in her personal life were one of the reasons she ended up not renewing her contract as a series regular on “Suits” last year. “My contract was up, so this wasn’t a power play that went terribly wrong,” Torres said of her decision to leave the USA Network series, before adding that her “personal life [also] needed to be tended to.”

“I think the public doesn’t understand the rigors of shooting a show for an actor, much less when you’re on location and away from home,” she said. “At one point I approached [showrunner] Aaron [Korsh] and said, ‘It’s not that I don’t love the show and love Jessica, who is my alter ego. But my life is my life, and I need to take care of it.’ And everyone was completely supportive.”
