2011 Christmas Boosts New Activations of iOS and Android Devices

On Christmas Day of this year, activations of new Apple's iOS and Google's Android devices surged 353 percent over the baseline (the average from the first 20 days of December) of 1.5 million to 6.8 million, and more than 142 percent increase over last Christmas, according to mobile application analytics firm Flurry.
