  • Olivia ranks as the third richest pet in the world, earning millions from cameos in ads and music videos
  • Swifts owns three pet cats, Olivia, Meredith Grey and Benjamin Button

Taylor Swift's cat, Olivia Benson, is reportedly worth a whopping $97 million, making her one of the richest pets in the world.

The figure came from AllAboutCats, which revealed its latest ranking for the richest pets in the world Wednesday. The 33-year-old Grammy-winning musician's Scottish Fold landed at the No. 3 spot on the list.

According to the cat-education website, which gives the latest updates on cat health, in-depth cat product reviews and more, the ranking was created after "analyzing the Instagram of pets with the most followers, likes and engagement rates" to determine how much each of the pets could earn per social media post and which among them were the highest earners.

For Olivia Benson, most of her fortune was earned outside the world of Instagram influencing, according to the website. The cat has starred in several of Swift's music videos, has her own merchandise line and has made cameos in several big-budget advertisements, including ones for Diet Coke and Ned Sneakers.

At the top of the richest pets list is Gunther VI, a German Shepherd owned by Gunther Corporation with an estimated net worth of $500 million, while Nala Cat, which has 4.3 million followers on Instagram and an estimated net worth of $100 million, ranked No. 2.

The website noted that Gunther inherited millions of dollars, but his net worth skyrocketed due to Gunther Corporation's real estate investments. Gunther reportedly sold a mansion, formerly owned by Madonna, for $29 million in 2022.

Ranking fourth on the list is Oprah Winfrey's pet dogs, Sadie, Sunny, Lauren, Layla and Luke, each of whom has their own trust fund. As a collective, they are set to inherit $30 million when the 68-year-old veteran talk show host passes.

The late Karl Lagerfeld's Birman cat, Choupette, inherited $13 million after the death of the Chanel fashion designer, making her the sixth richest pet. The late Betty White's adopted golden retriever, Pontiac, received $5 million, ranking seventh on the list.

Swift has a total of three cats: Olivia, another Scottish Fold named Meredith Grey and the newest addition to her fur family, a Ragdoll breed named Benjamin Button, according to Parade.

Swift's cat Olivia was reportedly named after the detective-turned-sergeant played by Mariska Hargitay in NBC's crime drama "Law & Order: SVU." The 58-year-old actress made a cameo in Swift's "Bad Blood" music video in 2015.
