Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the company is still planning the Semi truck and that they’re looking forward to producing the new EVs soon. Here’s what we know about Musk’s announcement.

On Musk’s official Twitter, the CEO posted a picture of the Tesla Semi prototype carrying some of the company’s electric cars on its back. After that, Musk confirmed that the company has been focusing on production and logistics for the last year and a half. With this, Musk said that they’re looking forward to making the Tesla Semi soon.

While the company has started to make prototypes, the Tesla Semi is still not yet available for sale for interested buyers. Tesla has also stated that the first Semi units will be for company use, which could be for delivering their electric cars. For now, Tesla has yet to announce any significant updates regarding the release date of the new vehicles.

For now, Tesla is busy handling the release of two electric vehicles, the Model Y crossover SUV and the pickup truck. The Model Y is slated for release later this year and will come in four variants built for long distance travel. Meanwhile, the standard battery variant will be released early next year.

Meanwhile, the unveiling for the Tesla pickup is scheduled for later this year as well. Many fans are looking forward to this new vehicle as it combines the functionality of both Tesla cars and the pickup trucks, which could be fitting for customers who want something bigger than the Model Y.

Aside from just its performance, the new Tesla pickup is confirmed to have a “Blade Runner” aesthetic, which could mean a futuristic and sharp-looking design that is extremely different from most cars out in the market.

The company has yet to announce its new vehicle projects after these three vehicles. But Musk also has the SpaceX rocket and space travel projects lined up for this year.

We’ll have to wait for more announcements from the company to know what Tesla will venture into after these projects.
