'Thor: Love And Thunder' Director Calls Upcoming Movie An 'Adventure Film'

KEY POINTS
- The God of Thunder will go on an adventure in "Thor: Love and Thunder"
- The director promises the movie to be "bigger, bolder and brighter"
- Thor will be dramaticaly different from "Avengers: Endgame"
“Thor: Love and Thunder” director Taika Waititi shared some details about the film in a recent interview. Chris Hemsworth’s character is expected to go on an adventure in the movie just as he did in “Ragnarok.”
In a recent interview, Waititi said that the upcoming Thor movie is actually another “adventure film,” IGN reported. He compared it to “Ragnarok,” in which Hemsworth’s character goes on a “really cool adventure” before returning to Asgard for one last battle against the villain.
Thor travelled to the planet Sakaar in the 2017 movie. Waititi said that there are always new things to see and do with each new movie, and the fans will get to see that in the next instalment. He promised the next film will be “bigger, bolder and brighter.”
“There’s just gonna be some really crazy stuff in the film,” Waititi teased. The director did not elaborate on the comment. The plot of the film is currently being kept under wraps.
Hemsworth teased some details about “Thor: Love and Thunder” while interacting with the fans at the Comic Con in Tokyo, Screen Rant reported. He hadn’t read the script of the movie back then, but he said that the director and his team are working hard to make something “pretty fresh and new again.”
The last time that the fans saw Thor, he had become overweight by drinking too much and sitting around doing nothing. Hemsworth teased that the upcoming movie will help bring some dramatic changes to the character from his drinking days, which he felt is “very, very exciting.”
One of the aspects the movie will explore is the relationship between Thor and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). A deleted scene in “The Dark World” confirmed that the reason why the two characters broke up was because Jane didn’t want to go to Asgard with the God of Thunder, even though she loved him, Screen Rant reported.
“Thor: love and Thunder” will be released on Nov. 5, 2021.
