  • Carole Baskin fooled by fake “Jimmy Fallon” producers to do an interview
  • The TV star commented on her fake interview on YouTube
  • She felt betrayed by "Tiger King" producers

“Tiger King” star Carole Baskin was tricked by fake “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” producers.

In April, Carole shared that she felt betrayed after the “Tiger King” producers Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin covered an entire episode about her missing husband, Don Lewis. Carole only talked about Lewis because the filmmakers told her it would be used as background context. And so she was shocked when they aired an entire episode about the topic.

Carole endured another round of betrayal after fake “Jimmy Fallon” producers successfully fooled her to do an interview with them.

According to Josh Pieters and Archie Manners, they scored an interview with the Tiger Queen by telling her that she would appear on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The pair has 1.3 million followers on YouTube.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, interviews are done online via Zoom. Carole’s interview with Pieters and Manners turned out smoothly even if Carole didn’t see Fallon.

In the video shared on YouTube, Baskin only agreed to talk about her animals and refused to discuss the controversial things covered on “Tiger King.” The two pranksters used old audio clips from Fallon’s show and even pretended to talk to the crew members off camera to sound legit. Carole did not have any idea that she was fooled.

The fake interview garnered several reactions from viewers. Most were not happy with what Pieters and Manners did because for them, it was a case of “identity theft.”

“Throughout this entire series all I can think of is: IDENTITY THEFT IS NOT A JOKE JIM!” Nelly wrote.

“Carol sued Joe for $1M+ for embarrassing her. You are never going to financially recover from this,” kiwi added.

“Im so anxious that she is going to sue you, hope you thought about all the laws and everything hahaha Amazing video by the way,” user Angela opined.

Meanwhile, Carole also made a comment on the video. According to her, she sent an email to her daughter and husband after the interview.

She admitted that it was weird that she couldn’t see Fallon during the interview. She also noticed that when she heard Fallon’s voice it didn’t sound specific to the topic. However, according to Carole, “they did stick to the questions they gave us, so I just can’t tell.”

“This whole thing may have been a spoof and they said they won't broadcast till next week, and will let us know before they do, but I'm not holding my breath,” she added.
