Tom Cruise had plenty to smile about at the New York premiere of Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol Monday night: his wife Katie Holmes.

The powerhouse couple arrived at the premiere, held at the legendary Ziegfeld Theatre, in matching navy blue attire -- Cruise in a simple, dapper suit and Holmes in a sheer dress from her own label, Holmes & Yang.

Every day I fall more in love with [Katie] . . . it's been quite an amazing five years because of her. She's an incredible woman. She's everything to me, Cruise, 49, gushed to People Magazine at the premiere.

The couple recently celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary.

Cruise and Holmes, who turned 33 years old last week, were joined on the red carpet by Ghost Protocol co-stars Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton and Anil Kapoor.

The film's stars have been on quite the world tour promoting the new Mission: Impossible picture, with recent stops in Brazil, London, Madrid and Dubai.

Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol, directed by Brad Bird, is the first M:I film to come out in five years. The most recent, Mission: Impossible III, grossed more than $397 million worldwide in 2006, while its predecessor, Mission: Impossible II raked in more than $546 million.

Based on the TV series of the same name, the Mission: Impossible film series has attracted a strong following over the years, since its first film installment in 1996. Cruise's portrayal of special agent Ethan Hunt remains the highest grossing role the actor has ever played.

Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol is now playing in theaters.
