Tom Hanks’ eldest son, Colin Hanks, recently criticized Donald Trump days after his dad and stepmom tested positive for coronavirus.

On his Twitter account, Colin uploaded a news article centered on Trump’s meeting with “Deep State” stars Dean Cain and Kristy Swanson. The meeting reportedly took place on Feb. 27 when the total number of confirmed coronavirus patients in the United States was already at 60.

“While the #coronavirus outbreak was happening, this is how the President chose to spend his time,” Colin wrote.

In a follow-up tweet, the “Life in Pieces” star responded to a headline that announced that the White House has asked Silicon Valley to stop misinformation amid the coronavirus fears.

“So, NOW Trump and the White House are concerned about the spread of misinformation,” Colin tweeted.

The actor also retweeted MSNBC host Ali Velshi’s post last week where he lashed out at Trump and his administration over how they have been handling the deadly coronavirus outbreak.

“I think folks need to spend less time worrying about whether the media is taking #coronavirus TOO seriously, and more time on whether the Trump administration isn’t taking it seriously enough. If those of us who are worried about #COVID19 are wrong, no one gets hurt,” Velshi tweeted.

Tom and his wife, Rita Wilson were the first two A-list celebrities who confirmed that they tested positive for coronavirus. The “Forrest Gump” star reportedly contacted the virus with his wife while doing pre-production for an upcoming biopic about Elvis Presley in Australia.

The couple is still recovering in Australia, and there is still no advice as to when they could return home to their families. Hours after announcing that he and his wife tested positive for coronavirus, Tom assured his family and friends that they are both on the mend.

“Hello, folks. @ritawilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else. There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time,” Tom posted on Instagram.
