Japanese video game developer and publisher SEGA and Creative Assembly announced “Total War: Warhammer” for the PC, Mac and SteamOS. The entry in the “Total War” series leaked in January, but SEGA has revealed more details surrounding the title. No release date has been set yet.

Check out the trailer below:

“Total War: Warhammer” will alter the regular franchise gameplay standards. The title will take place in a high-fantasy setting, which will include monsters, heroes, storms, magic, flying creatures and epic battles. The fights will take place in real-time, and the game will feature turn-based sandbox campaigns.

"Our rules have changed," developer SEGA said in a press release, "and with change comes war on a scale as yet unimagined. The limitlessly deep and rich universe of ‘Warhammer’ heralds a new era for ‘Total War.’"

Two additional standalone expansions were also announced, and SEGA and Creative Assembly claim the trilogy will create “the single largest ‘Total War’ experience ever.’”
