Looking for a little rest and relaxation as you await that next stimulus check but don’t have the funds to getaway? You can get $100 in your pocket if you visit California’s wine country.

Santa Maria Valley is paying $100 to visitors that travel to the coastline and book a two-night stay from now through March 31. Payment will be made in the form of a gift card and will be awarded to the first 500 reservations.

To cash in on the deal, reserve a two-night stay in the Santa Maria Valley at a qualifying hotel and enter your reservation information on the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center’s website form.

The $100 gift card can be spent at local restaurants, breweries, wineries, or attractions that are now open thanks to California Gov. Newsom’s guidelines for safe reopenings of business during the pandemic.

The Santa Maria Valley boasts 15 beaches and 34 tasting rooms that are all within a 30-minute drive. The region also has over 50 restaurants, seven American viticultural areas, and a number of local breweries. Visitors can also take in the hillsides and valleys of the region as well as local shopping, art, and entertainment sites.

Stays must be booked at the same property and cannot be combined with any other offers. Gift cards will be made available at your hotel during your stay or can be picked up in person at the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce visitors center during normal business hours.

Travelers will need to comply with California’s travel restrictions and COVID protection guidelines or face being disqualified from the promotion.
