The blood will hit the fan Sunday in episode 5 of “True Blood.” Only six episodes remain in the final season of the hit HBO series, and fans won’t want to miss a second of “Lost Cause.”

According to a synopsis, Sookie will be exhausted from certain recent events. In the past few episodes, the blonde faerie lost her boyfriend, was used as vampire bait, and fed her ex-boyfriend her blood. But despite all that, Sookie will still end up the “unwilling host of a festive mainstreaming party in Bon Temps.”

Viewers will remember episode 4 concluded with Sookie’s group of vampires and humans defeating the Hep-V vampires and Vince’s group of vigilantes. Now with the threat apparently gone, the people of Bon Temps may have reason to celebrate and come together as a town -- perhaps kicking off Arlene’s new romance with Keith, the rocker vampire that saved her life.

Still, not everyone will be celebrating. While Eric and Pam returned to Shreveport in episode 4, they’ll be back on the road in episode 5, bound for Dallas. The maker and progeny are moving their search for Sarah Newlin to a fundraiser in Texas (where our fingers are crossed that they’ll run into Sarah’s family).

Meanwhile, Andy will make a “life-changing decision.” Does it have anything to do with his previous notion of proposing to Holly? On the other hand, Jessica and James will “reach a crossroads” in their relationship, while Bill Compton will “lose himself in remembrance of human days.” Will “True Blood” viewers have another Bill flashback on their hands?

Episode 5 of “True Blood” will air on HBO on Sunday, July 20, at 9 p.m. EDT. What do you want to see happen in “Lost Cause”? Tweet your thoughts to @AmandaTVScoop.
