On Wednesday night, Donald Trump Jr. continued to blatantly defend his father, President Trump, voicing his frustration at the Democrats’ persistence to carry on the impeachment inquiry.

Speaking to Fox News host Sean Hannity, Trump Jr. said, “This shouldn't be going on here. If this was going on in a banana republic, we'd say that's pretty bad. It's going on in the United States of America. It's going on in Congress. And it's enough.”

He continued to air his frustrations by asking why the media, which is otherwise very vocal about protecting democracy, was not raising questions about the supposed lack of transparency in the impeachment investigations.

"It's a telephone game of nonsense proportions. But, you know, the media gets that first wave. They get it directly from [Rep. Adam] Schiff. They get to run with it as though it's fact," Trump told Hannity. “In a month when they open up the process and everyone else sees it, they will have done the damage. That's why it's disgraceful."

Though facing backlash, the President’s family has stood by his side constantly trying to twist the narrative in his favor by statements given in media appearances. They have maintained the President’s line of thought saying that he has done nothing wrong, blaming the Democrats for trying to remove focus from the actual issues.

Earlier this month Eric Trump called the impeachment investigation a clown show.

"The Democrats are trying to do everything that they can distract against the fact that we have 3.5 percent unemployment, the lowest unemployment in the history of this nation. He's done an unbelievable job, Martha," he said.

"This is a clown show, because they knew that they don't have any people left to run against my father in 2020."

Ivanka Trump too had a similar line of answering when questioned about the impeachment in an interview with Fox News. She said that her father’s government was focusing on the “priorities,” which was empowering the people of America.

Critics tore into her reply seeing that she cleverly sidestepped the question.

Since the Ukraine scandal erupted, Trump Jr. and Eric have tried to turn the table on the Bidens by constantly calling out Hunter Biden and criticizing his activities. While some of their statements have backfired rather than having the intended effect, they have not backed down, unlike some of the President’s aides and white house staff, forming a skirmish line for Donald Trump in his defense strategy.

On Wednesday, Donald Trump Jr. praised Rep. Matt Gates and other Republicans for showing their support for the president by storming the secure impeachment inquiry deposition.

"It was great to see guys like Matt Gates and so many other Republicans, the House, finally say enough is enough. But when is it really going to be enough, Sean?" he asked Hannity.
