  • Amber Heard's "Aquaman 2" screen time allegedly got doubled because her character would be having a baby
  • Andy Signore of Popcorned Planet claimed he got the information directly from a test screening source
  • The netizens shared mixed opinions after hearing the newest rumor about Heard's role in "Aquaman 2"

Rumors claimed that Amber Heard would still part of "Aquaman 2" and have longer screen time following the Johnny Depp trial.

Andy Signore of Popcorned Planet claimed that despite Depp's major win in his defamation case against his ex-wife and the millions of calls to remove Heard from "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," the actress is still part of the movie. Her screen time also got increased, according to him.

"Guys, I've heard from a source directly who was at the test screening of 'Aquaman 2' on Tuesday evening," he said. "Not only was she in the film still, [but] they [also] doubled her time. They went from seven to about 20 to 25 minutes of screen time."

The YouTuber added that it was because Heard will have a baby in the film. Signore's update quickly received mixed responses from the netizens.

"This is total BS. I didn’t believe she was out until you or WB confirmed it. I will never ever watch a movie with her in it 100%," one commented on Signore's video. "This is an injustice to JD. They totally blackballed JD and welcome[d] her back with open arms. How completely hypocritical. They don’t support an incorrectly accused person without proof but totally support such an obvious prove[n] liar. Disgusting."

"I can separate the 'art' from the 'artist.' However, for me, after watching that trial for 6 weeks, all I will think about when I see her is how vile she was on the witness stand. That wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience," another added.

"I know I wasn't going to tweet about her BUT!!!!!" another person posted on Twitter. "What planet am I living on where a court found [an] abuser through jury has now had her 'Aquaman 2' screen time doubled? [N]ow, don't tell me [they're] not enabling an abuse[r]. I will never watch WB ever again!!!!"

Meanwhile, some netizens felt it would be unfair to remove Heard from the film since the case with Depp was only civil.

"I don't support Amber at all, but let's be fair here, the court only decided she defamed Johnny NOT that she abused him. That was not even close to what the court was supposed to rule on. I think she did, but she is not a court-found abuser," one netizen wrote.

"'Aquaman' is nothing without Mera, and Mera is nothing without Amber Heard. PERIOD," one of Heard's fans tweeted.

"We have to stop believing that courts are always right. Remember the whole O.J situation? I stand with Amber and I wish to see 'Aquaman 2' #istandwithamber," another added.

Before rumors that Heard's screen time would be increased, there were reports that all of her scenes would be deleted, and she would be completely removed from the "Aquaman" sequel.

During the defamation trial in Virginia, Heard said that Warner Bros. didn't want her to be part of the film, but she fought them. She was able to keep her role but performed "a very pared-down version of that role."

"Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" stars Jason Momoa, and it will be released on March 17, 2023.
