KEY POINTS

  • Twitter users have different opinions after seeing Kanye West's post showing Kim Kardashian's number saved as "Kim Other Phone"
  • Some online users felt that the "Kim Other Phone" contact name was abusive and showed West's alleged obsessive and dangerous nature
  • Other netizens found the same issue funny and said that West's reaction seemed normal because he was furious with the mother of his kids

Kanye West shared several posts on social media about his wife, Kim Kardashian, as he tried to get back with her.

West, 44, had already ended his whirlwind romance with Julia Fox, 32. Following their split and multiple attacks against Kardashian's boyfriend Pete Davidson on social media over the weekend, he said he has faith that they will eventually reunite.

West, who now goes by Ye, has already deleted most of his posts on Instagram and only left two posts. One featured Kardashian and their kids from her Vogue cover when he expressed his interest to bring his family back together, while the other one was about his upcoming "Dondal 2" album.

In a since-deleted post, West shared a screenshot of a message allegedly from his estranged wife telling him that he was "creating a dangerous and scary environment" for Davidson and someone might hurt the comedian. "Someone will hurt Pete, and this will all be your fault," part of the message read.

West begged his fans not to hurt Davidson at the request of his wife and said that he would handle the situation himself. However, many were alarmed when they noticed that the sender from the contact was saved as "Kim Other Phone."

"Echoing others, I rarely weigh in on Kanye, but the Kim Other Phone post is flat-out abusive," Litsa Dremousis, author of "Altitude Sickness," tweeted. "Plus, Kim was already assaulted in Paris & Pete Davidson lives w/ BPD & his dad died on 9/11. Kanye is abusing people who've already dealt w/ PTSD & this s–t cannot be normalized."

"Genuinely triggered by @kanyewest post, the 'Kim other phone.' Everyone laughing, but this man is genuinely showing some obsessive, dangerous signs here. Usually couldn't care less about Kanye and Kim's shenanigans, but this feels dangerous," another added.

"As someone who worked with Domestic Violence Survivors, this is NOT anything to joke about," a third user wrote. "Kanye AND Pete both have been open about their mental health issues. Pete TAKES medication. Kanye has admitted he does NOT. Celebrity or not, Kim, her kids AND Pete deserve to be safe."

A fourth user shared screenshots from West's now-deleted Instagram posts. The netizens found West "terrifying" and his actions "straight-up abusive behavior toward Kim." The user said the "Donda" artist's move was similar to what a "racing narcissist look like."

Meanwhile, some also sided with West. Others found the situation funny because they felt that the other phone belonged to Davidson, and Kardashian used it to text him.

"LOL 'Kim Other Phone,'" Ron Bassilian commented.

"That text from 'Kim's other phone' was so cringe. I had to distance myself from all females like that. They [were] gaslighting Kanye every day and I'm sure it was easy lol," one wrote.

"Lol he had her stored as Kim other phone," another added.

"This is straight-up normal when a dude's mad another man is f--king around with his wife. Pete Davidson should have stayed in his lane and not mess with a married woman. Kim's a slore and Pete's a disrespectful punk lol. Kanye's just handling Chicago style. Kims Other Phone psshh," a third one commented.

West made several posts against Davidson over the weekend. He slammed the comedian for his Hillary Clinton tattoo and said he would never meet his four children with Kardashian. He also doubled down on his attacks by sharing a photo of him holding a yellow pad with the text that read, "My account is not hacked 2 13 22." Most of the posts have already been deleted.
