This weekend, Ubisoft will give players a chance to try out its latest game, “Far Cry 5,” for free. While that’s happening, the company also has a list of plans that they are rearing to fulfill. Among those are the release of new games next year.

According to Gamespot, the “Far Cry 5” free weekend will start from Friday, May 29 at 6 a.m. PT until Sunday, May 31 at 1 p.m. PT. Others can get the preload starting today.

After the free weekend, this game will be available at a discounted price on the story — up to 75% discount on the sale has been reported. Along with “Far Cry 5,” “Far Cry 2” and “Far Cry New Dawn” will be available for a lower price.

Aside from the free weekend, there are allegedly big things in store for the video game developer. PC Games N reported that the developer is pushing to release five triple-A games by March 31, 2021. One of these games will reportedly be a follow-up to “Far Cry 5.” This might be the reason why this sale is happening this weekend, but so far, nothing has been confirmed yet.

One of their triple-A games coming out this year is “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.” Its release date has been placed between October 1 and Dec. 31. Two other titles are reportedly coming out from Ubisoft during that launch window, while the two remaining titles might be launched in 2021 between Jan. 1 to March 31.

Aside from new game launches, the developer is also looking to improve its existing library of games. For instance, according to NME, the “Anno” History Edition will be undergoing a re-release. This means that minor improvements will be made to the game, not major improvements. Optimization for 4k, multiplayer, and an update to 64-bit for improvement and stability for future platforms are only some of the changes scheduled for the games.

While nothing has been confirmed about the five new triple-A titles, players will have to get hyped about “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” which is coming out this year. In the meantime, they can get busy as the “Far Cry” weekend happens.
