  • A man in Florida shared a video captured by his security camera of possible UFOs
  • The video showed two bright orbs soaring in the air
  • More than 7,200 UFO sightings were reported last year, according to the National UFO Reporting Center

A Florida resident's security camera may have captured two unidentified flying objects (UFO) over the weekend.

William Fuentes, a resident of the Palm Coast area, shared footage captured by his home security camera at 3 a.m. showing what appeared to be two bright orbs soaring in the air. In a recent interview, he revealed that he still has no explanation for the two circles of light after reviewing the video, which can be viewed below.

"I have watched it maybe 100 times now. Taken screenshots, blown it up," Fuentes told Fox 35 Orlando.

"Is it drones, or is it the birds, or bats, you know? Everything goes through your mind. But in the end, I couldn't really explain it," he continued.

In response to the attention the mysterious video received online, Dr. Csaba Palotai noted that the possibility of aliens is something that excites people as it raises more questions that come with endless possible answers.

"I think that is a fascinating phenomenon. If you think about it … That there is a possibility that these events are happening because of aliens. Everybody is hoping that these are aliens and not just some better phenomenon," said Palotai, an associate professor and program chair of aerospace, physics and space sciences at the Florida Institute of Technology.

Fuentes' experience is not the only UFO sighting that has been reported recently. According to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), at least 245 new UFO sightings have been reported this year by March 30.

The quarantine also seemed to have given people more opportunities to spot these strange objects as NUFORC said more than 7,200 UFO sightings were reported last year -- about 1,000 more sightings than in 2019.

"Whenever people are realizing, 'Oh, this was a weather balloon or some atmospheric optics phenomenon', it is just not interesting anymore, right? All the interesting cases are the ones when you don't find out," Palotai said.

The government is expected to release a detailed report about UFOs on June 1, USA Today reported.

John Ratcliffe, a former director of National Intelligence, shared that the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force's report will feature information that has never before been made public.

"There are instances where we don’t have good explanations for some of the things that we’ve seen, and when that information becomes declassified, I’ll be able to talk a little bit more about that," Ratcliffe shared in an interview with Fox News.
