An upscale sex club in New York is planning a black death-themed bacchanal party for Halloween despite the pandemic.

Snctm is a private members-only club that offers a safe and comfortable amorous environment to its members. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the club is holding another pleasurable event for its members, Page Six first reported.

Initially, they were planning to hold an orgy at the start of the outbreak but canceled it. An insider told the outlet that the club has since continued its operations with safety measures. They also reduced their number of guests to only 30.

"They’ve been keeping a low profile since their return, testing the waters of hosting safely in this new world," the insider said.

"Thus far, they’ve held two events since returning from hiatus, all with COVID rapid testing of every person who enters the premises."

The club checks the temperature of their guests and performs Quidel’s Sofia swab tests, expecting each guest to have "sensitivity greater than 97 percent."

"Armed security will be augmented at the door by a board-certified physician and his team performing SARS-CoV-2 rapid testing," an invitation from the clubread.

When asked if the guests still engage in sex during parties despite the pandemic, the spokesperson said, "I would say thus far the behavior of our guests within the parties has indicated a great pent-up demand for our events, and an appreciation of the precautions we have undertaken.”

Journalist Anka Radakovich had the chance to experience Snctm in 2018. She scored an invite from its founder Damon Lawner after she got in touch with him to ask him what inspired him to launch the sex club.

"I was going through a similar thing myself, struggling with being monogamous with my wife," he said. "The grand object of Snctm is the eroticism of the human race."

Lawner focused on Snctm after his marriage failed. According to him, women who attend Snctm parties are sexually adventurous, and their guests usually include doctors and lawyers.

Snctm holds its parties at different locations to preserve the members’ privacy. When Radakovitch attended one it was held at the Snctm Mansion. The men wore tuxedos while the women wore lingerie or gowns, and everyone put on masks.

"The room looks like a cross between an Oscar after-party and an amateur porn set," Radakovich wrote after attending the party.

"It’s a straight guy’s total fantasy, like Cirque du Soleil meets a Victoria’s Secret fashion show," she added.

However, Snctm is not for everyone because every member has to pay a hefty price to be part of it. According to Radakovich, men pay $1,875 per event, $10,000 for a yearly membership, or $75,000 for a lifetime “Dominus” VIP membership. Women can get in for free via online application that involves Skype or in-person interview.
