After a scoreless and rather uneventful first half between Argentina and Netherlands in the World Cup semifinals, La Albiceleste defender Ezequiel Garay provided a moment of levity.

In the 48th minute of play, Garay lost his left shoe, picked it up and still managed to clear the ball away (albeit with his right foot) to keep the dangerous Dutch attack from gaining any advantage.

Garay should at least get some credit for his focus and hustle. But he’ll just go viral for poor shoe-tying skills. He did also take a nasty hit to the head earlier in the match, so Garay could be a bit loopy.

Rojo played for Portuguese side Benfica but made a switch to Zenit St. Petersburg recently.
