A video featuring a blue-tongued lizard from a zoo in Australia has taken the internet by storm. The rare reptile has two heads and three eyes, including a Cyclops eye, leaving internet users from all over the world in awe.

The incredible clip of the bizarre reptile was shared by Jay Brewer, the founder of the Reptile Zoo in California. Brewer, who has more than 5.7 million followers on Instagram, often shares pictures and videos of rare reptiles.

"Wow, unbelievable! This is one incredible little blue tongue skink. Can you believe your eyes?" Brewer captioned the video, which has garnered almost 70,000 likes since its release last week. The clip gives a closer look at the reptile.

"One in a million..one in ten million," he says while showing the lizard's third eye located in the middle of the two heads. However, only the outer two eyes look functional.

Officials in Australian Reptile Park in Somersby got the extremely rare lizard two years ago, and they named it Lucky.

Though blue tongue lizards are common in Australia, Lucky's deformity has made it special. It's been receiving the best care from experts at the reptile park, News 18 reported.

Some experts suggested that the lizard should be set free so that it can live in the wild. However, the reptile park officials said they believe the animal may not be able to defend itself in the wild and may even experience feeding difficulties due to the deformity.

Brewer explained that the reptile uses its two heads while consuming food. However, the lizard needs some assistance and has to be given special care until it learns to eat on its own.

Blue-tongued lizards are nonpoisonous and are the largest members of the skink family. When threatened, they use their blue tongue as a defense mechanism to frighten predators. They also use their tongue to flatten out the body and appear bigger than they actually are.
