Meghan McCain is reportedly engaged, but no one knows the identity of her elusive and ultra-private fiancé just yet. However, an insider has confirmed that the American columnist and her mystery man are already planning of walking the aisle soon.

On Wednesday, an insider dished to Us Weekly that 33-year-old McCain is already hearing wedding bells. “Meghan and her fiancée [sic] are well into wedding planning,” the insider revealed, but did not touch other details such as the exact date of the couple’s engagement.

The “Dirty Sexy Politics” author is known for being very secretive about her personal life. However, she has mentioned her “boyfriend” a couple of times on social media since early last year. She has not shared any pics of her lover, nor has she identified his name and even his initials. From what can be deduced from her posts though, it seems her mystery man is a good cook for he has prepared her a couple of homemade meals on more than one occasion.

It appears McCain pulled a 180 with regard to her view on getting married. Way back in January 2015, she apparently told Los Angeles Times that she wasn’t planning on settling down soon. “I spend a lot of time dancing in gay bars and want my gay friends to be able to get married, but I don’t know if I ever want to get married and have kids,” she said at the time.

McCain is the latest addition to the hosts of ABC’s daytime talkshow. She joined the morning chatfest in early October as replacement to Jedediah Bila, who left after more than a year without citing a specific reason. She only announced during her final appearance on the show that she was writing a book and doing other projects, as reported by Deadline at the time.

McCain, who is the eldest daughter of 2008 presidential nominee and longtime U.S. Senator John McCain, previously hosted Fox News’ “Outnumbered.” The announcement of her departure in mid-September came a few months after her father was diagnosed with stage IV brain cancer.

“I’m so thankful to Fox News for the chance to be on ‘Outnumbered,’ but I’m leaving to focus on other things,” McCain said at the time in a statement to Variety. “I have no doubt the show will continue to do well and wish all my friends and colleagues at the network nothing but success.”
