Last week, some new details about Visceral’s upcoming “Star Wars” video game was leaked online, and now it seems like more details have arrived. A new report claims that the upcoming game will feature a new female character named Robie Mattox.

Possible Spoilers Ahead!

We already know that the lead protagonist of Visceral’s still-untitled “Star Wars” game is nicknamed “Dodger.” However, he will be joined by a new protagonist character named Robie Mattox, according to MakingStarWars.net. Although the game’s story focuses on Dodger, Robie will be central to the game’s overall story.

Concept art for Robie shows that she is being played by actor Natalie Morales. It wasn’t made clear if Morales will player her in the game, or if the artists just chose her for the concept art. As for Robie's costume, she’s described as having an overall look that’s similar to Dr. Aphra, one of the new “Star Wars” characters created for Marvel’s comics.

Robie is said to be wearing a tight-fitting leather jacket along with a white v-neck shirt. Her pants are dark, and she is wearing a blaster holster on her right leg, much like Han Solo’s. Robie also appears to be wearing a hat that’s similar to Dr. Aphra’s, and other times she’s depicted as wearing the same kind of headgear worn by Rebels on Endor in “Return of The Jedi.” Lastly, she is also depicted sometimes as having some sort of sniper rifle.

In terms of her backstory, Robie’s parents were killed by the Wandering Star crime family while she was young. She ended up being an orphan on Coruscant’s level 1313, which is the level where the criminal underworld of the planet flourishes. The inclusion of level 1313 is also curious considering that a game based in that location, called "Star Wars 1313," was canceled by Lucasarts when Lucasfilm was acquired by Disney in 2013, as pointed out by WWG.

For some reason, Robie doesn’t like droids because it “creeps her out.” This will by one the conflicts she has with Doger, who has a field medic droid as a companion named Doc. Speaking of Robie and Dodger’s relationship in the game, both are said to have a strong friendship. This is why Robie will help Dodger when he’s hired by Jabba the Hutt to kidnap Oona Sable, a daughter of a Rang Clan boss.

Lastly, Robie might be setup as the main protagonist for the game’s sequel. Her involvement in this game could branch out to form a new narrative that focuses on her.

Visceral’s new “Star Wars” game doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected to arrive some time in 2018. The game is still untitled, but it is being called internally as “Project Ragtag.”

Visceral’s “Star Wars” game is said to take place between the events of “A New Hope” and “The Empire Strikes Back.” Main protagonist Dodger is said to be one of the few remaining survivors of Alderaan, making him wanted by the Empire.

The game is being directed by Visceral’s Amy Hennig and co-written by actor Todd Stashwick. “Our goal has always been, not to just sort of, make a game that is set in the ‘Star Wars’ universe, but to really tell an authentic ‘Star Wars’ story,” Hennig said on EA’s “A Look Ahead” video.
