Beyoncé has given a rare glimpse of her children in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix documentary – “Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé.” The anticipated film shows the mega-star behind the scenes as well as in concert and may even show a little about her family life as hinted by the preview.

The documentary, which will be released on April 17, is voiced by iconic author, Maya Angelou, and is expected to allow viewers see another side of Beyoncé, the performer, mother of three, and wife to Jay-Z.

The trailer of “Homecoming” shows footage of Beyoncé in a way that has never been seen by fans as the singer rehearses, works out, and provides footage of her children all while Angelou’s unforgettable voice narrates in the background.

Angelou says to viewers, “ I want to be representative of my race-the human race. I have a chance to show how kind we can be, how intelligent and generous we can be. I have a chance to teach, to love and to laugh. I know that when I finish doing what I'm sent here to do I will be called home and I will go home without any fear, trepidations, wondering what's going to happen.”

The haunting question of "What advice would you have to give this generation?” is asked to which Angelou responds, "Tell the truth, to yourself first, and to the children.” The next scene takes viewers on a ride as powerful concert footage displays, giving fans of Beyoncé a look at the singer’s concert Coachella performance.

The description of the biopic says the film is "an intimate look at Beyoncé's historic 2018 Coachella performance that paid homage to America's historically black colleges and universities.”

Viewers can also expect to see an array of intimate interviews as well as candid footage of the singer as she brings the both the vocals and the moves to life for audiences.
