The Weeknd's drastically altered appearance in his new "Save Your Tears" music video has fans speculating that he may have gotten plastic surgery.

The 30-year-old Canadian crooner, born Abel Tesfaye, unveiled a brand new look in the official video of his single "Save Your Tears" Tuesday. In the clip, The Weeknd has a thinned and crooked nose, bloated cheeks, puffed-up lips and surgery scars across his cheeks.

The Daily Mail reported that the Grammy winner didn't go under the knife and is only wearing prosthetics for the music video. However, some fans and netizens couldn't help but wonder if his new look may be real.

"The Weeknd really got plastic surgery?" one asked, while another fan said, "Why does The Weeknd look like that in the Save Your Tears music video!?! I don’t like it."

"Can someone explain to me if @theweeknd really got this plastic surgery for real for real???" another tweeted.

Some believe he may be calling out the Grammys and the Recording Academy in his music video after being snubbed from the 2021 nominations.

"Abel said 'f--k the Grammys,'" one fan wrote on Twitter, while another said, "I think [he] is showing us how constantly pressured he feels to be 'perfect' by the industry, Grammys, etc. Now he got that botched up face and I think at some point he will have an alone again mv where he takes it off and learns to love himself for who he is."

Other fans and supporters of The Weeknd were not bothered, saying that the singer would never go under the knife because he allegedly hates plastic surgery.

"The Weeknd is singing about how he hates all this plastic surgery all throughout his new album and y’all surprised when he wears fake makeup mocking plastic surgery lol," one wrote.

"Idk who needs to hear this but @theweeknd did not get plastic surgery lol it’s prosthetics for his new music video for 'save your tears' (and it’s really good esp if you’ve been following the album’s videos)," a second user agreed.

"I can’t believe people actually think The Weeknd got plastic surgery," a different netizen tweeted.

Following his video’s release, The Weekend took to Instagram to share a selfie of his shocking transformation.

Make-up artists Prosthetic Renaissance have taken credit for the work, writing on Instagram, "Check out the weird plastic surgery make up we did for (The Weeknd)."
