Lexi Reed will continue her recovery at home after she was put on a ventilator in a medically induced coma.

On Thursday, the weight loss influencer's husband Danny shared a troubling update with Reed's fans on her @fatgirlfedup account, revealing that his wife started getting severely sick a few weeks ago and "couldn't keep any food down."

"She then started acting differently so I took her to the hospital where they admitted her into ICU, placed [her] on a medically induced [coma], on a ventilator, and [told] me that her organs started failing," he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Reed lying on a hospital bed.

Danny added in an Instagram Story that doctors told him Reed "could have died" if he had waited another day to take her to the hospital.

On Saturday, Reed — who gained a following on Instagram as she chronicled her two-year journey to losing 312 pounds "naturally" with a balanced diet and regular exercise — shared a health update with fans, revealing in two separate Instagram posts that she has returned home.

The 31-year-old first posted a photo featuring text that read, "We fall. We break. We fail. But then, we rise. We heal. We overcome."

Reed then wrote in the caption: "I'm back home and ready to overcome the next part of this part of my story. Happy to be alive when it was seeming to be not possible and I was unresponsive in the trauma room. Thank you to everyone for the love I'm already seeing today from the past month. Love you guys."

In a subsequent post shared hours later, Reed announced that she created a GoFundMe page to help cover her medical expenses. The fundraiser has a goal of $200,000.

Reed wrote in the caption that she was moved by the love of her family, who helped her "get in the car and into the house with stairs," lifted her and her chair, brought over medical supplies and visited her at home since they couldn't at the hospital.

"I am blessed. Thank you to everyone who wants to help as I listened and went ahead to set up a GoFundMe if you'd like," she wrote.

Some fans encouraged Reed to focus on her recovery and reminded her that doesn't have to return to social media immediately.

"Don't feel the need to show up on social media for people. Take time to heal and recover how long that may be!" one fan commented on her post.

"After the pic of yesterday, I didn't expect to see anything from you anytime soon. Glad you're doing better," another wrote.

"Sending love! I couldn't believe [it] when I saw you in People's headlines! So glad to hear you are alright," a third user commented.

Some also offered to help Lexi with her medical bills. "If you put a link for a GoFundMe for your hospital costs, I would like to give you a small contribution. Take care and god bless," one supporter wrote.

"Glad to hear you are doing better. If you need help paying for medical bills, let us know how we can contribute," another added.

Before she was discharged, Danny said that Reed stayed in the hospital for a month and that he and his wife do not currently have insurance.
