Although Camila Cabello has put her days with Fifth Harmony behind her, the “Crying in the Club” singer still thinks about her former group and recently admitted that she has listened to their new music.

On Thursday, Cabello chatted with the morning hosts of New York City’s 92.3 AMP Radio where she revealed that she has heard the latest music from Fifth Harmony’s and shared her thoughts on the group’s sound now that she is no longer a member.

“I’ve heard some snippets of it. I haven’t had the chance to hear the whole thing yet,” the singer said. “But I thought it was pretty cool,” she added.

Although she is happy for her old group, Cabello admitted that she wishes her exit was more graceful. “Obviously I wish it wouldn’t have been like that, because I just, you know, ‘Peace,’ but like I said I wish them the best,” the “Bad Things” singer stated.

When Cabello left Fifth Harmony in December 2016, the group released a statement revealing that they were informed by the 20-year-old’s team that she would no longer be continuing on with the group.

Cabello responding to the statement by issuing her own explanation. She said that she was shocked about the way the group handled her exit and insisted that they were well aware that she planned to leave after many long conversations and meetings about her feelings of wanting to go solo.

However, the group countered Cabello’s claims calling her out for not telling the whole truth. “These supposed lengthy conversations never happened, although we pleaded,” they wrote responding to Cabello’s statement.

Fifth Harmony members Ally Brooke Hernandez, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane Hansen and Normani Kordei stated that they tried to set up meetings with Cabello to discuss the future of the group but she refused to participate. The remaining members also stated that they were “saddened by the way she and her team handled the situation.”

Nowadays, Cabello remains content with her decision to go solo and doesn’t mind that she is no longer singing with Fifth Harmony. “I feel like it’s just been natural — I wish the best for them and I’m sure that they’re gonna kill it!” she told the radio hosts.

During a chat with Elvis Duran and The Morning Show that same day, the “Love Incredible” singer stated that her second single “I Have Questions” changed her life.

“I felt like it was the first time that I had been going through [that], which is basically what the album is about. I had been going through probably the lowest part in my life so far, at least it felt that way for me,” the singer explained. Cabello’s upcoming album, “The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving,” will reflect her journey “from darkness into light.”

Although Cabello continuously talks about the unhappiness that she has experienced while in Fifth Harmony, the group seems more than happy to move on from the past and focus on their journey as a foursome.

“It’s a new era! It’s been really incredible because we’ve been in the studio the past few months really working hard on our album, we’ve been creating, we’ve been writing. It’s been really amazing, we’ve been having so much fun,” Hernandez told the anchors of “Good Morning America.”

Fifth Harmony has yet to share a release date for their third studio album, however, Cabello’s solo project is expected to be released in the fall.
