What Does Sia Look Like Without Her Wig? Singer Makes Rare Appearance Without It

Sia’s signature blonde wig is worn by the singer so often that some may forget what the “Greatest” musician even looks like. While Sia has been seen without her signature hair before, she doesn’t often make public appearances without it.

If you’re wondering what Sia looks like under her wig, the 41-year-old pop star recently appeared at Los Angeles International Airport without the hair covering her face. Sporting a tan sweater, joggers and white sneakers, the singer could be seen with her own blonde hair.

Sia’s reason for wearing the wig has changed throughout the years but most recently, she told James Corden she wanted to have some mystery. “I was a singer for 10 or 11 years to mediocre success. I was an alcoholic and a drug addict,” she said.

After becoming sober, Sia started to gain more fame but decided she didn’t want to be an artist anymore. “I thought, ‘What doesn’t exist in pop music at the moment?’ And it was mystery. I was like, there’s pictures on Instagram of everyone at the dentist.”

But during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Sia was a little more direct with her reasoning. When asked why hides her face, the singer said, “Well it’s just so that I can go to Target and buy a hose if I want to.”

She added, “Or if I find I’m in need of a restroom, I can go in the side of the road, no one would be following me with a camera trying to get a shot.” As for why she doesn’t like the spotlight, she said, “Because it’s ugly, it makes me feel hunted.”

In 2016, Sia released her seventh studio album, “This Is Acting.” Backed by the singles “Cheap Thrills” and “Move Your Body,” the record has been certified platinum in the United States.
