Season 7 might have left fans divided on a few things, but one thing is certain—Hearties are already looking forward to Season 8 of Hallmark’s “When Calls The Heart.”

The popular show will make another return to the cable channel following a Season 8 renewal, though it might be a little while before fans get to see what will happen next in Hope Valley. Here’s everything we know so far about Season 8.

2021 Expected Premiere

It didn’t take long for Hallmark to renew the show for Season 8 after Season 7 wrapped—in fact, the season hadn’t officially wrapped at all, as star Erin Krakow confirmed the news during the finale.

The show is once again expected to air the new season in the new year, so fans will have to wait until 2021 for a new look at how things are going in Hope Valley. However, while the show usually airs new episodes beginning in February each year, there could potentially be a later date depending on when production can start up again after the Coronavirus.

Those who may be curious about whether or not Lori Loughlin’s recent guilty plea in the college admissions scandal would help her revive her career shouldn’t expect that, if it happens, it will happen during Season 8 of “WCTH.” Following her indictment in March 2019, the actress was officially fired from the series and Hallmark as a whole, and her character was written out in Season 6 by going “back east” to take care of her ailing mother. Season 7 was the first full batch of episodes to not feature her.

Elizabeth’s Relationship

As for what might unfold on the newest batch of episodes? Fans were certainly left divided during the Season 7 finale, as Elizabeth (Krakow) appeared to still be trapped in a love triangle with Nathan (Kevin McGarry) and Lucas (Chris McNally). While some speculated that she made her feelings for Nathan known during the finale with her reaction when she found out he was safe, Krakow herself told Entertainment Tonight that nothing is set in stone.

“She’s wanting to encourage Nathan, but when he does ask her out, she can’t even say ‘yes,’” she said at the time. “With both of these guys, there’s this sense of excitement but trepidation. Everything is moving very slowly.”
