As the finale for “When Calls The Heart” Season 7 approaches, fans are still wondering if it will be renewed for a Season 8 or canceled. Among those who seem unsure is the show’s creator, Brian Bird. However, Bird has managed to rally the support of his fans with the hashtag #Season8WouldbeGreat.

The hashtag has led a number of fans to reach out to the network through Twitter. One fan mentioned the network and Bird in a tweet.

She wrote: “Don’t ever stop When Calls The Heart! It’s the best show on cable and a big part of Hallmark! I have felt like the characters are my friends, I feel so close to them:)They’re the best!”

One user agreed: “Yes please don't ever stop filming When calls the Heart as I just love it and can't wait til Sunday night comes. And also keep bringing Hope Valley too. I love the Hallmark channel and the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Both channels are so family oriented. So please don't cancel”

Another fan typed up an entire letter to the Hallmark Channel and shared it on Twitter. Throughout the letter, she explained the impact the show has had on herself and other fans. Furthermore, she expressed her admiration for the show’s writers and actors.

“Through the past seven seasons, hearties everywhere have experienced the raw emotions that have been stirred up within the town,” she explained. “We, as fans, felt the heartbreak of the mine explosion that caused such a terrible loss at the start of the show, but we also experienced the joy that was slowly brought back into the town that was once named Coal Valley...I have learned life lessons from this show, which is something that I feel is quite special.”

The user also expressed her appreciation for how the stars conduct themselves in the real world citing the time she met stars Erin Krakow, Jack Wagner and Paul Greene at ChristmasCon 2019.

“I think most hearties feel that season eight would be great, and that [there] are many more Hope Valley Stories to tell,” the supporter concluded.

As previously reported, Pascale Hutton, who plays Rosemary Coulter, told My Devotional Thought’s writer Ruth Hill what she would like to see if there’s an eighth season.

“I think we’ve seen in season seven, you see Lee and Rosemary try to move on and find value in their life without children, which is what it is at this particular moment,” Hutton explained. “I would like for there to be at some point in season eight for the two of them to find more resolution on that topic. Whether that’s moving ahead and adopting a child or whether a miracle happens and they are able to conceive. Or whether they find something else that they’re able to be equally passionate about and invested in that doesn’t involve a child. I just really think that we need to see the two of them consciously make a decision to move towards something on that topic.”

The Season 7 finale of "When Calls The Heart" airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
