After Lindsay Lohan swapped places with her twin in the 1998 remake of “The Parent Trap,” she swapped bodies with her mom in the 2003 remake of “Freaky Friday.” The film celebrates its 15th anniversary Monday, and though Disney Channel’s premiering a new one on Friday, let’s see what the cast of the early 2000s version is up to now.

Lindsay Lohan (Anna)

The 32-year-old star had taken a bit of a break from acting over the last few years, but she just recently returned to the game with her role as Katerina West in the British dark comedy “Sick Note.” She’s joined the show for its second season, which just kicked off at the end of July. Lohan’s also starring in a new crime-horror film, “The Shadow Within,” which is expected to be released later this year. Aside from acting, she recently opened up her Lohan Beach House in two locations in Greece. An MTV reality series starring Lohan, focused on these new business ventures, will premiere next year.

Jamie Lee Curtis (Tess)

Before 2003’s “Freaky Friday,” Curtis starred in the horror film franchise “Halloween.” The first film arrived in 1978, and now Curtis is reprising her role of Laurie for the latest installment of the franchise, which is set to come out this October. She has three other movies in the works, as well — comedy “Senior Entourage,” thriller “The Pages” and action-comedy “Spychosis.”

Chad Michael Murray (Jake)

The “One Tree Hill” alum was in April’s Hallmark Hall of Fame movie “The Beach House” with Minka Kelly, and he’s now working on a Christmas film for the network. Titled “The Wise Men,” the flick also stars Jessy Schram and is slated for a release this holiday season.

Mark Harmon (Ryan)

A month after “Freaky Friday” was released, Harmon’s CBS series “NCIS” premiered, and he’s been working on the popular series ever since. He’s starred in over 300 episodes of the show as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, and more will be added to that when Season 16 begins airing in September.

Ryan Malgarini (Harry)

After playing Lohan’s onscreen little brother in “Freaky Friday,” Malgarini has gone on to do more movies, like “Go Figure” and “The Young Kieslowski.” He’s also worked on a few shows, with his most recent role being on an episode of “Mom” earlier this year.

Christina Vidal (Maddie)

The actress joined Amazon’s “Sneaky Pete” for its second season, starring as Valerie in four episodes. She currently has her comedy flick, “Walk to Vegas,” in post-production, and it’s supposed to come out later this year.

Julie Gonzalo (Stacey)

Aside from being in episodes of “Lucifer” and “Grey’s Anatomy” earlier in 2018, Gonzalo also had three movies come out. One was the Hallmark Channel flick “The Sweetest Heart,” another was an indie rom-com called “Alex & the List” and the third was the comedy “How to Train Your Puppy/Husband.” Gonzalo also has a horror-thriller in the works, titled “The Great Illusion,” which co-stars Selma Blair.
