Whitney Cummings reacted to Chris D'Elia's sexual abuse allegations and said she was enraged after learning about it, but some Twitter users were not convinced.

On June 20, Cummings took to Twitter to share her thoughts about the sexual misconduct allegations against her fellow comedian, D’Elia. The “You” star allegedly asked for nude photos from various women online with some of them underage at the time of the incident.

Cummings didn’t hide her dismay toward her “Whitney” co-star on her post.

“It’s taken me a couple of days to process the information I have learned about Chris. I’m devastated and enraged by what I’ve read and learned,” she wrote.

“This is a pattern of predatory behavior. This abuse of power is enabled by silence. Now that I’m aware, I won’t be silent. Girls should be able to be a fan of a comedian they admire without becoming a sexual target. It’s the adult’s responsibility to be an adult.”

However, several questioned Cumming’s response.

“Whitney, all due respect, but you’ve been best friends with Chris for years and years... parties and tours and events together... how can you expect us to believe you weren’t aware?” one asked.

Another Twitter user shared a post by an alleged victim on Tumblr. According to the netizen with the username unaveragesheep, D’Elia’s friends are aware of his alleged misconducts.

She said the comedian once introduced her to Cummings, Mark Hayes, Michael Lenoci and Bryan Callen and they asked her age. She told them she was 20 and they reportedly laughed and said, “they just keep getting younger.”

“She was aware,” another user said, sharing the same story from Tumblr.

Meanwhile, some also defended Cummings. One said, the girl was only introduced to her. Another said that when people do it “they try to keep them secret,” implying Cummings wasn’t aware of D’Elia’s misbehavior.

In related news, Creative Artists Agency immediately dropped D’Elia after sexual misconduct allegations agains him surfaced. In a bid to clear his name, D’Elia’s rep released copies of his email exchanges with the alleged victims to give the public the full picture of the incidents.

The exchange of emails shared on Page Six revealed that he asked them for their age. In one email, he stopped pursuing the girl after learning that she was only 16 years old.

Colleen Riley, one alleged victim, received a message from D’Elia in 2014. The “Army of the Dead” star asked if they could “make out.” Riley replied with, “Chris, I’m 16.”

“Oh [explicit]. I thought you were at my [standup] show. Gotta be 18 [to get into that] at least. My bad. Bye,” D’Elia wrote.
