On Tuesday, ABC’s “The View” announced that panelist Rosie Perez would leave the popular daytime talk show to return to acting full-time. Executive producer Bill Wolff said Perez was welcome to return to the show as a guest once she finishes her hosting duties on Aug. 6.

The first Latina panelist in the show’s history joined in September 2014 with conservative commentator Nicole Wallace. Perez announced her departure on the show July 8. Rumors had circulated that Perez would walk from the show as early as January, but it turned out that the other Rosie (O’Donnell) would be the one to leave the show first (via Us Weekly).

While the announcement for Rosie Perez’s replacement has yet to be formalized by the show or its parent studio ABC, Just Jared reports comedian Michelle Collins may be a likely candidate to take the actress’ host seat. She will join current co-hosts Wallace, Whoopi Goldberg and Raven-Symoné.

Here are three things to know about the rumored new co-host for “The View”:

1. She’s Already Been On “The View”
If Collins looks vaguely familiar to “The View” audiences, that’s because the comedian has already served as a guest co-host over 20 times in 2015. Not bad for an audition!

2. This Isn’t Her First Hosting Duty
In 2011, Collins was a regular panelist on the VH1 show “Big Morning Buzz Live with Nick Lachey.” She’s also appeared on panels for “The Gossip Queens” and “Chelsea Lately,” which also makes her an experienced candidate for “The View.”

3. She Has A Little Production Background
In addition to sporting a healthy hosting pedigree, Michelle Collins also has some experience behind the camera as well. While working as an actress for the TV Land sitcom “Kathy,” Collins also took to producing eight of the episodes in Season 1.
