Meghan Markle was reportedly hoping to change the monarchy after marrying Prince Harry, but since the former “Suits” star joined the royal family, she has been reportedly damaging their reputation.

When Meghan and Harry first shared their relationship with the world, she was quite popular with the British people, however, her popularity declined following their royal wedding.

The 37-year-old’s family drama and rumored feud with sister-in-law Kate Middleton has allegedly caused the royal family to lose some of its mystery.

“When it comes to Meghan, constant public rumors have damaged this carefully crafted image, making her appear less mysterious and less royal,” relationship expert Sheela Mackintosh-Stewart told Express UK.

“The Royal Family has survived for centuries due to their ability to adapt to societal changes whilst also maintaining aloofness and mystery,” she added.

However, Meghan’s decision to allow her friends to talk to People magazine has disrupted the palace’s ability to maintain that mystery.

“If Meghan’s friends did out her side of the story on the family rift at her request, then it shows a lack of discretion befitting of her royal status,” Mackintosh-Stewart explained.

“It’s understandable that Meghan wants to prove her point, but time would be better spent considering how she can make things right in her family, rather than what they did to make things wrong. IIt’s always easier to see someone else’s part in the problem than our own.”

While Queen Elizabeth prefers to contain leaks and gossip about the royal family, the rumors and negative press surrounding Meghan has reportedly continued to cause issues for their image.
