Over the years, Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie have been photographed next to one another in great spirits, whether it was at a royal event or a night out on the time. They aren't faking it for the cameras.

Although the royal family is known for putting on a united front for the public, the bond between the cousins is genuine, according to Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the authors of “Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family.”

The recent reports that revealed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle allowed Eugenie and her husband Jack Brookbanks to move into their unoccupied residence at Frogmore House comes as no surprise to the authors.

“Eugenie had always been more than just a cousin to Harry. They were also the closest of friends,” the book revealed.

“Out of all the Queen’s grandchildren, Harry and Eugenie have one of the most natural connections. Like Harry, Eugenie is loyal, honest, and great fun. The two had many nights out together in London.”

Throughout their childhood, Princess Eugenie became a major support system for her cousin. “Harry had always confided in his cousin when it came to the women in his life,” the authors stated.

“Not only did he trust her implicitly, but friends say that she gives great advice and has always been ‘beyond wise’ for her years.”

Although Meghan and Prince Harry will visit the United Kingdom and stay at Frogmore Cottage in the future, the couple was more than happy to have Eugenie and Jack move in after learning the Princess was pregnant.

“Frogmore Cottage continues to be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s residence in the U.K. and they are delighted to be able to open up their home to Princess Eugenie and Jack as they start their own family,” a source told People.

Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly “sent their congratulations privately” to the happy couple.
