Prince Harry will be flying to Botswana in the coming days but without his wife, Meghan Markle.

A palace representative confirmed the report with E! News and said Markle won’t be joining her husband because he will be traveling to Africa for an official engagement and not for leisure.

More specifically, Prince Harry will take part at the Annual General Meeting for Rhino Conservation Botswana in his capacity as Patron. He previously attended the board meeting in Maun and an RCB community project in Xarakao village.

In 2016, Prince Harry and Markle traveled to Botswana for their first date. They went back to the place on their third date, as well as to celebrate Markle’s 36th birthday. Following their May 19 wedding at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, royal fans speculated that they will be going to Botswana for their honeymoon, but they didn’t.

Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up about their love for Africa, and Prince Harry even referred to it as the perfect place for the two of them.

“Because I was off to Africa for a month, and she was working. And we just sort of right where is, where’s the gap? And, the gap happened to be in the perfect place,” he said (via Express).

The 33-year-old prince also described their first date in Botswana during their first sit-down interview with BBC.

“We camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic,” he gushed.

In related news, Markle will also go on a solo trip to the United States this summer. The 37-year-old Duchess will visit her family and friends in New York and Los Angeles, and Prince Harry will not join her on the trip. Details about the Duchess' short vacation are still being kept under wraps.
