As the July 14 premiere of "The Lion King" approaches, fans of the royal family are beginning to wonder if Meghan, Duchess of Sussex will be meeting the Queen Bee herself. The opening night is set to take place in London's Leicester Square and both women are said to be planning on attending.

It remains unclear if the two have ever met in private leading up to this event, but they do share a few celebrity friends, such as Serena Williams. This commonality may have afforded them the opportunity to previously meet, but both are slated to be at the star-studded premiere, which would mark their first public outing.

According to HELLO!, Meghan is planning on making an appearance, but will not finalize that decision until the date nears. It is also reported that she would be going to the event with Prince Harry. If they do end up attending, this particular outing would hold a special significance to the members of the British royal family as they attended a 2016 West End stage production of "The Lion King" early on in their relationship.

If the two women have never crossed paths before, this would be an exciting meeting as Beyoncé has previously shown her support for the Duchess when she and husband Jay-Z accepted their 2019 BRIT Award for Best International Group as The Carters. They did so in front of a framed painting of the royal, which was created by artist Tim O’Brien. The painting can be seen below in a tweet from the BRIT Awards' official Twitter account.

Fans of both the singer and the Duchess will just have to wait and see how this plays out, but it appears as though the meeting very well could take place.
