As “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” Season 1 dropped on Netflix last November, and Seasons 2 and 3 were released earlier this year, fans are used to getting new episodes of the animated series pretty often. With all 13 episodes of Season 4 now streaming on the platform, can viewers expect a Season 5 in the near future?

“[The show follows] an orphan named Adora (Aimee Carrero), who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra,” the synopsis shares. “Along the way, she finds a new family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil.”

Noelle Stevenson, creator, executive producer and showrunner of the series, told Animation Magazine last year that she had “four arcs of 13 episodes” planned out which means — since Season 1 has 13 episodes, Season 2 has 7, Season 3 has 6 and Season 4 has 13 — three of those four arcs have been completed and released to fans.

Does that mean Netflix will at least give the show a fifth season, featuring 13 episodes, to finish up the originally-planned arcs?

She Ra Season 5 renewal news
“She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” Season 4 is now streaming on Netflix. Netflix

While Netflix hasn’t yet revealed the fate of “She-Ra,” leaving its possible Season 5 renewal or cancellation up in the air, International Business Times spoke with Stevenson at New York Comic Con last month about what’s in store for the series.

“It’s not something I can really discuss just yet,” she told IBT. “I definitely had my initial plan set [going into] this, and I do think that it was important to me to resolve the character arcs in a very contained way. But other than that, I can’t really speak too much what Netflix’s plans are; In part because I don’t fully know, either.”

Although Stevenson wasn’t able to confirm if the show’s going to get canceled or if it will get a Season 5, she was able to share that the ending she created for Season 4 definitely sets “She-Ra” up for the possibility of another season.

Find out what that ending is by watching “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” Season 4, which is now streaming on Netflix.
