  • Nikki Jabs posts relationship stories on her TikTok account
  • She had been dating the guy for three weeks
  • This was not the first time he made comments about her appearance

The video of a Michigan woman bawling over an utterly disappointing date went viral on TikTok. Nikki Jabs said she was heartbroken after her date sent her back home in an Uber because he did not approve of the outfit she spent so long putting together.

Jabs often talks about her dating escapades to her followers on TikTok. This time, she revealed how her date, Greg, deemed she was too overdressed to accompany him to the opening of a clothing store he works for. Although Jabs painstakingly put her look together, she was baffled when Greg suggested booking an Uber for her to go back home so he could go to the event without her, according to New York Post.

As Jabs posted about her dating chronicles, she said Greg kept looking at her outfit every now and then while they were on their way to dinner. He finally said her outfit, which was a black, long-sleeved crop top and pink, paper-bag trousers, was too much for the athleisure store's opening.

“I said, ‘I’m wearing this to the function or going home.’ He said, ‘Can I call you an Uber?’” Jabs recalled.

“He was too embarrassed to be seen with me in this outfit, so he sent me home in an Uber and went to the opening without me,” she told her followers.

Jabs was seen sobbing in a follow-up video, which racked up 7 million views on the social media platform. “I’m just so sad because I spent so much time trying to look pretty and he sent me home in an Uber. Who does that? He sent me home with a stranger on a Friday night,” she said.

Jabs also explained to her followers how Greg, whom she met on a dating app, started commenting on her makeup and high heel shoes soon after they started going out.

“It all started with little comments here and there over the last couple of weeks, like, ‘why are you wearing heels? I like it when you wear tennis shoes. Why are you wearing so much makeup? I like it when you’re natural,’” she said.

Three weeks into seeing each other, Jabs felt like she had had enough after Greg put her in an Uber alone while he attended the event without her.

Those who saw the TikToker’s videos showed their support for Jabs after the way things turned out.

“There’s going to be an apology and begging. Please don’t listen to him, it’s only going to get worse. You’re beautiful and deserve so much more!” said one TikTok user while another said, “Remember: This is him in the beginning. This is him on his best behavior. Run.”

Jabs fully agreed with the comments and said she’s now living in a van with her trusted cat.

“I’m glad I got out after only three weeks and not three years,” she said.
