A 20-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her roommate after a fight broke out in their Florida apartment over a missing cellphone.

Abigail Seane Hennington was arrested and is facing charges for stabbing the woman, who underwent surgery after surviving the incident.

Officials said Hennington was living with the victim and another male roommate in the Northwest 12th Court apartment in Miami when the stabbing took place, WPLG Local 10 reported Tuesday.

An argument broke out between the two roommates when the victim told Hennington that her cellphone was missing. The third roommate was not inside the apartment at the time.

As the scuffle escalated, Hennington grabbed a kitchen knife without warning and began stabbing the roommate. The victim suffered multiple puncture wounds to the right side of her body.

The third roommate later spoke to officials and said he had just left the apartment right before the stabbing took place. He said he stopped to speak to a neighbor when he heard loud screams coming from his apartment.

The man then rushed back to his apartment and saw the wounded victim walking toward the front porch. He recalled seeing the bleeding woman then collapse on the porch, according to NBC 6.

Hennington was standing behind the victim and quickly left the scene, the man added.

The male roommate also said it had only been about a month since the three of them started living together.

The victim went through surgery after being rushed to the hospital. She was able to speak to officials and told them that Hennington knifed her as they argued about her missing cellphone.

Cops located Hennington at a gas station shortly after the incident and took her into custody. She is facing a charge of attempted murder and invoked her right not to provide a statement to investigators without a lawyer.

Hennington is being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

In an unrelated incident reported in September last year, a woman was accused of stabbing her roommates after they asked her to move out of a Florida home. Deputies found two wounded victims and were told that they were stabbed by Christina Adams, 30. Adams was found shortly afterward and confessed to cops about the stabbing.
