The month of August is going to be action-packed for all Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Microsoft has just introduced a new lineup that is headlined by “Hitman” and “Dead Rising 2.”

On Wednesday, Xbox Wire editor-in-chief Will Tuttle took to Xbox Wire to reveal the list of games that are available on Microsoft’s $9.99 subscription service this month. Headlining the list if the complete first season of “Hitman” and Capcom’s “Dead Rising 2.”

The main attraction this August is “Hitman Season 1.” The game centers on the World of Assassination. Players assume the role of Agent 47, who is regarded as the world’s best assassin. Under the International Contract Agency, Agent 47 is tasked to take out high-profile targets in exotic locations all around the world. The keys to realize the missions are skill and creativity.

Another headliner for this month is “Dead Rising 2,” the sequel to Capcom’s smash hit open world survival horror beat’em up video game that features motorcycle stuntman Chuck Greene. The goal is to keep Greene’s daughter alive while fighting hordes of zombies. Players have access to customized and constructible weapons, as well as DLC costumes. There is also a 2-player co-op mode and 4-player gladiator battles.

Also part of the lineup is Reikon Games and Devolver Digital’s cyberpunk top-down shooter video game “Ruiner.” The game is set in the brutal world of 2091, where players are immersed in a cyberpunk dystopia. Players need to rescue the character’s kidnapped brother and uncover the truth behind the corrupt system of Rengkok City.

Ryse: Son of Rome” is another interesting addition this month. The third-person action-adventure hack and slash by Crytek and Microsoft Studios features an alternate history that centers on a centurion named Marius Titus. Players need to engage in several battles to help determine the fate of an empire.

Other titles to check out this August are “Dandara,” “The Escapists: The Walking Dead” and “Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure.” “Dandara” is a metroidvania platformer, “The Escapists” is a zombie-themed game with pixel art style, while “Kinect Rush” is a remastered adventure game that features worlds from Pixar films.
