Dina on "Young and the Restless"

They haven’t trusted Graham at all since he came to town with Dina, but now, Jack and Ashley will find even more reason to be alarmed by his role in Dina’s life on the Friday, June 30 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

After Dina (Marla Adams) came back to Genoa City on the CBS soap and Jack (Peter Bergmann) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) welcomed her back into their lives, they became concerned about just what role Graham (Max Shippee) has in their mother’s life. They’ve alternately been concerned that he was abusive, as well as someone who was after her fortune. Now, after Dina’s announcement that she has redone her will and plans to leave the bulk of her estate to him, the siblings will find themselves even more worried about what is actually going on between the two.

However, when they voice their objections to their mother’s announcement, Dina will sternly tell them that this is what she wants—and as her children, Jack and Ashley need to respect what she’s told them.

“That will represents my final wishes,” she says in a preview clip. “You’d better respect them.”

Though Jack and Ashley may both agree to do that to their mother’s face, neither one will be comfortable with this new information, and will become increasingly more concerned that Graham is some sort of con man who is out to take everything Dina has, and Ashley will even worry that he is someone who will do whatever it takes to get Dina’s fortune before they can figure out what his real plans are.

Overall, no one can figure out just what his role is in Dina’s life, though he’s been thought to be a doctor, an associate, and a lover. However, the last one seems to have since fallen away as an option, as he seems to genuinely be intrigued these days by Gloria (Judith Chapman), and will flirt with her outside the office as Dina breaks the news to Jack and Ashley about her will.

“I’d much rather be uh, out here, than in there,” he says in the clip.

“Me too,” Gloria replies.

However, once Dina arrives back again, he will again resume a professional mode, and will escort her out without a second glance to Gloria. Jack meanwhile, will express his concerns to her about how his mother is being played so horribly, and will reveal that Dina wishes for Graham to get the bulk of her fortune.

Meanwhile, Ashley will continue wondering what Dina and Graham seem to be hiding, and will even try to figure out if Graham is a con artist who has found a genius way to gain all of Dina’s trust as strongly as he has, And as she continues to ponder that possibility, she will find herself surprised that of all people, her mother fell for such a trick. And as she tries to figure things out, she will become more determined than ever to expose the truth.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
