Hilary on "The Young and the Restless"
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is threatened on the June 26, 2017 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” CBS

She was the one who gave Juliet the initial idea to sue Brash and Sassy and Cane for sexual harassment in the first place. Now that her role in the issues surrounding the issue is becoming more evident, Hilary will find herself getting both a major warning and a threat to stay out of it on the Monday, June 26 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Desperate to find some way to mess with Lily (Christel Khalil), Hilary (Mishael Morgan) approached Juliet (Laur Allen) after she was fired from Brash and Sassy. She had previously learned on the CBS soap that while in Tokyo, Juliet and Cane (Daniel Goddard) had gotten extremely drunk, and slept together. After Juliet told her she’d been fired, Hilary encouraged her to file a suit for sexual harassment, using her fling with Cane as the basis of her claim. Initially hesitant because she knows what happened between she and Cane didn’t really constitute as sexual harassment, Juliet has since changed her tune and fully embraced the lawsuit.

Now, Cane has been forced to cover his tracks repeatedly to try and make sure Lily never finds out he cheated on her with Juliet while he was in Tokyo, and also tries to make sure Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Billy (Jason Thompson) also don’t figure it out, because he fears the truth will cost him both his wife and his job. He has figured out that Hilary was the one who brought this upon him, and knows her motives are to destroy Lily, and in a preview clip, when he runs into her, he will threaten her and warn her that she won’t get away with it.

“I’m warning you to stay out of this,” he says. “Because I’m not going to let you destroy Lily or my family.”

Hilary will likely deny having any role in it, even though she knows she did. However, she may also be surprised by the threats, because she has since tried to distance herself from things. After Lily confronted her about planning to run the story about the suit on her show, Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) convinced her to trash the plan because as a model for Brash and Sassy, he is also affected by the suit. In addition, when Juliet asked her to be a character witness for her when the case goes to trial, Hilary declined to do so.

Now though, after Cane’s threat, she may feel a renewed sense of vengeance, and could pick up right where she left off once again, meddling and causing trouble.

The biggest problem for Cane will be if Hilary meddles enough to truly expose what happened between him and Juliet, or if someone else stumbles across the truth at all. The depositions already put his marriage into more trouble because Juliet’s lawyer managed to get ahold of footage from the hotel that night in Tokyo, and showed everyone proof that he and Juliet had spent the night together. And while Lily didn’t actually see that he had sex with Juliet in the video, she has been suspicious ever since, and if the actual truth comes out, it could mean he’ll be in genuine trouble.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
