She is the one who actually murdered JT and worked with others to cover up the crime, but on the Wednesday, Dec. 5 episode of “The Young and the Restless,” Nikki will be stunned when she learns someone else could go down for the crime—her own husband.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has already been left in shock because Victor (Eric Braden) has seemingly gone missing, and it’s clear someone is targeting the family about something with the fire at the stables on their ranch. However, things are only about to get even more complicated on the CBS soap, as she and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) learn that Rey (Jordi Villasousa) has a specific suspect in mind when it comes to JT’s death.

Rey will likely reveal he believes Victor’s disappearance came at the perfect time, since he has been growing closer to who he thinks the culprit for the murder is, and he will announce that the head of the family is the person he is seeking in connection to the crime. The news will stun Victor’s wife and daughter because they know the truth, and for once, Victor had nothing to do with the situation.

However, though she loves him, Nikki could find herself wondering if letting Rey believe Victor is guilty is the best thing for the moment, since her husband is currently missing, and can’t be charged in connection to a crime if he isn’t found.

“Nikki struggles with old demons,” Y&R spoilers tease.

If Nikki is struggling with whether or not to stand by her husband and maintain his innocence, it could mean some big problems for the family going forward—ones that are even bigger than what they’re already up against.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
