While Zayn Malik’s fans gushed over his new music video of “Pillow Talk” with his rumored girlfriend Gigi Hadid, his former fiancée Perrie Edwards seemed to be in a gloomy mood seeing the new rumored couple getting close in the video. The latest video is part of his highly anticipated album “Mind of Mine,” which will launch the former One Direction member as a solo artist.

Edwards uploaded a photo on her Instagram page showing her guitar in a dull room.

Her fans came to her rescue telling her that they love her and that she was better than Hadid. One fan wrote on Instagram: “Perrie put this in ur mind you are so much better than Gigi!!! Ur voice and face amazing and beautiful.”

Another fan wrote: “Hey guys please not talk about Zayn! Please respect to Perrie, love you queen.”

A third fan wrote: “Stay strong Perrie you are amazing and you have your girls and the fans here for you just think #BRITs love you lass!!”

One fan even ridiculed Malik’s latest song in the comments, and said: “Zayn's song is rubbish nway.”

Another fan wrote, according to OK! magazine: “We love you Perrie. We love you more than any man could ever love you and we'll love you longer than he could ever love you.”

In a previous interview, Malik said that the latest album is about “dirty and raw” sex. He also reportedly said: “Everybody has sex, and it's something people want to hear about,” adding: “It's part of everybody's life, a very big part of life! And you don't want to sweep it under the carpet. It has to be talked about.”

Earlier this month, he said in an interview to Billboard: “We weren’t allowed to say certain things, or word [lyrics] the way we would want to,” adding: “I’d sit and wonder, ‘If the fans knew how it worked, what would they think?’ My argument was: People are more intelligent than that. They want to hear what’s real, so why don’t we write some stuff that we’re actually going through?”

Malik announced last spring that he was leaving the group, when he was still engaged to Edwards, and fans had speculated that Edwards was the reason behind it. However, Edwards has denied the allegations.

Malik ended his two-year engagement with Edwards last year. Hadid, who was dating Joe Jonas before, and Malik, were first linked together in November after they were spotted partying together. Since then, both of them also have been sharing pictures of each other on Instagram accounts.
