  • Fans gushed over Zendaya referring to the "Uncharted" star as her "boyfriend" publicly for the first time
  • Zendaya became the youngest two-time winner of an acting Emmy Monday

"Spider-Man" co-stars and real-life couple Zendaya and Tom Holland have kept their romance low-key since they started dating, but the actress recently shared a rare insight into their relationship.

Following the 2022 Emmys Monday, the 26-year-old actress revealed during an interview with "Live From E! After Party" that Holland was the first person she texted after she made history by winning her second Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her performance in "Euphoria."

"I didn't have to text my mom because my mom was already there, she's here tonight, which is very special," Zendaya told E! host Tim Kash of how she celebrated her historic win. "And I texted my boyfriend."

Although she didn't share any other details about the sweet moment, fans couldn't help but gush over Zendaya referring to the 26-year-old "Uncharted" star as her boyfriend publicly for the first time.

"It's the boyfriend acknowledgment for me! Tom is dancing a jig for his girl tonight," one social media user wrote.

Another commented, "The boyfriend acknowledgment was cute. Tom is always his [girlfriend's] number [one] supporter. We love to see it."

Holland is believed to have been absent from the Los Angeles ceremony due to his filming schedule with Apple TV+'s "The Crowded Room," which is currently shooting in New York City, according to E! News.

Zendaya became the youngest two-time winner of an acting Emmy and the first Black woman to win in the lead actress in a drama series category twice when she beat Sandra Oh, Reese Witherspoon, Jodie Comer, Laura Linney and Melanie Lynskey for the trophy Monday.

When asked by Kash about her motivation to keep moving forward amid her success, Zendaya responded, "I really, really love what I do. I think finding a passion, finding something that gives you purpose, and I think 'Euphoria' is one of those things that's given me a tremendous amount of purpose."

"Like I said tonight [during her winning acceptance speech], the amount of stories I got since 'Euphoria' has come out, I think, is the whole reason why we do this. Just the amount of people that feel seen and that feel like Rue [Zendaya's character] is part of their journey and healing is beyond everything that I could ever ask for," she continued.

In addition to her acting win, the "Dune" star was also nominated as a producer alongside "Euphoria" executive producer and director Sam Levinson as the HBO series earned a nod for outstanding drama series at the 2022 Emmys, Deadline reported. In July, Zendaya, then 25, became the youngest woman ever nominated for producing at the Emmys.

Zendaya was also nominated alongside Labrinth, Muzhda Zemar-McKenzie and Levinson in the outstanding original music and lyrics category for the "Euphoria" tracks "Elliot's Song" and "I'm Tired." They lost to "Schmigadoon" co-creator and showrunner Cinco Paul, who was responsible for writing all the tracks for the musical comedy series.
