Zoë Kravitz has opened up about why she removed dozens of tattoos from her body, including the one on her middle finger.

The 33-year-old actress explained during an interview with GQ published earlier this week that the older she gets, the more she realizes that "the person that they're talking about isn't me. It's an idea, and I'm a separate being."

Talking about the fading star tattoo placed on her middle finger, which she got removed among dozens of other tattoos, she said, "Just things, I'm like, 'I don't need this on my body.'"

The actress also shared how turning 30 changed her perspective on life. "The Batman" star said that there is "something romantic and exciting" about being "an adult" as she stays at home and cooks now.

"I bake bread," she shared. "Then I think you do that for a couple years and you realize there's still a lot of life to be had. I'm done romanticizing the 'old is domestic' thing. It's cute for a minute and then it's not."

Kravitz, who got married to her long-time boyfriend, Karl Glusman, in 2019 and got divorced in 2021, explained that she has "just learned to think about who I am and what I want."

She added, "You meet someone who's amazing and wants to marry you, and there's nothing wrong with that. If there's nothing wrong, then why wouldn't you do it? You love them and that's what you do."

Kravitz, who began her career in 2007 with the movie "No Reservations," is currently dating actor Channing Tatum. The couple met on the set of an upcoming movie, "Pussy Island," which began filming earlier in 2021. They made their relationship Instagram official in August 2021.

"[Tatum] He's just a wonderful human," she said during the GQ interview. "He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."

On the work front, Kravitz was featured in a DC movie, "The Batman," which was released earlier this year. The flick was helmed by director Matt Reeves.

She also starred in a crime thriller movie, "Kimi," which dropped in February. The flick was helmed by director Steven Soderbergh and penned by David Koepp.
