Those who preorder Sony’s upcoming Xperia 1 flagship smartphone will get one of the best wireless headphones available in the market today.

According to The Verge, Sony will release its latest flagship on July 12 and will start accepting preorders for the smartphone on June 28. Those who preorder the device for $949.99 will get for themselves one of the best noise-canceling headphones available today according to the SoundGuys: the WH-1000XM3 noise canceling headphones.

While it’s pretty obvious that consumers can purchase the said headphones without having to buy the smartphone, getting the Xperia 1 just became more worth the buck with the audio accessory, which currently sells for around $350. Those who have been planning to buy Sony’s latest smartphone, then, will get to enjoy quality sound without having to shell out some extra cash.

Xperia 1 Features

The Xperia 1 is Sony’s latest entry into the smartphone arena. This smartphone is very tall, and has a 6.5-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio that “should make it easier to hold and pocket than larger phablet phones,” The Verge noted.

Sony claims that the Xperia 1 has the first “CinemaWide” 4K HDR OLED display on a smartphone. The display’s aspect ratio makes it perfect for watching movies without letterboxing, browsing on Twitter, and checking messages or emails.

It also has what Sony calls a pro-quality triple lens camera setup at the back of the phone. There’s a 16mm lens for wide landscapes, a versatile 26mm lens, and a 52mm that has 2x optical zoom. The Xperia 1 also the world’s first Eye AF that has up to 10fps AF/AE tracking technology.

The phone also boasts of having Creator mode “powered by CineAlta.” This feature is inspired by Sony’s Master Monitor color reproduction technology, which is used in Hollywood studio productions. Sony promises what with the Xperia 1, users can “record movies with the same parameters and colour settings as the professionals.”

Top-quality audio

Aside from an impressive display and pro-quality camera capabilities, Sony said the Xperia 1 will also allow users to immerse themselves in an amazing audio experience with Dolby Atmos. This feature, of course, is best experienced using the WH-1000XM3 noise-canceling headphones that come with the phone when preordered.

The Xperia 1 will work on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, and can be preordered via Best Buy, Amazon and other outlets.
