’13 Reasons Why’
Is Alex (Miles Heizer) still alive and will he share scenes with Clay (Dylan Minnette) in “13 Reasons Why” Season 2? Netflix

The production for “13 Reasons Why” Season 2 has already begun, and the cast of the hit Netflix series will be heading to downtown Martinez on Wednesday.

According to SF Gate, this is the second time that the cast and crew of “13 Reasons Why” will be filming in the Bay Area. They also have seven more bookings to film in various locations throughout the year. Assistant city manager Anne Cladwell revealed that the cast will head to 625 Court Street and 816 Main Street on Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The second location is where the Fightkore mixed martial arts gym can be found. However, it is unclear whether or not the cast will shoot their scenes at the gym, according to East Bay Times. The publication also announced that select streets and parking spots in Martinez will be blocked off to give way to the production. Other scenes from “13 Reasons Why” Season 2 were filmed in Vallejo and Sebastopol in California a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, “13 Reasons Why” Season 2 will focus on the aftermath of Hannah Baker’s (Katherine Langford) death. Devin Druid, who played the role of Tyler in “13 Reasons Why,” said that he believes his character should be given more focus in the upcoming episodes. In the first season, Tyler was revealed to be Hannah’s stalker. He was bullied and harassed by everyone, but he also shockingly took out a gun and brought it to school in the finale.

Miles Heizer, who played the role of Alex, told the publication that there are a lot of speculations that his character committed suicide. But Alex’s body was never found so he could still be alive. “It was interesting to see similarities between Alex and Hannah, because there are a lot of warning signs throughout the season,” he said.

Heizer added that it would be interesting to reveal that Alex tried to take his own life, but never succeeded in doing it. “It’s probably a lot more common than people think it is,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

“13 Reasons Why” Season 2 will stream on Netflix next year.
