The 2012 Hong Kong Fashion Week, the largest of its kind in Asia, kicked off on Sunday, with a sensational start. The festival will have internationally renowned designers vying for attention and beautiful women walking the ramp in their finest creations.

The 2012 Fall/Winter Collection, combined with a signature event, World Boutique, will feature 1,900 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions, attracting more than 4,700 buyers from 40 countries and regions across the world, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) noted.

Four important designers - Hong Kong's Hidy Ng, London's Craig Lawrence, Paris' Risto Bimbiloski and Shanghai's Qi Gang - will launch their newest apparel and accessories at the show which ends on Jan. 19.

The gala event, organized by the HKTDC and held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, will highlight three new product zones - Denim Arcade, Handbags Select and Salon of Scarves & Shawls.
