A report claims that Apple will be shipping the new 2019 iPhones with an accessory that will allow users to charge them faster, and also allow them to connect the new smartphones to other Apple devices.

Citing information coming from an unnamed “Chinese supplier,” Japanese Apple blog Mac Otakara claims that Apple will sell the 2019 iPhones with an 18W USB-C power adapter and a USB-C to Lightning cable included in the box. The charger will allow for faster charging times, while the cable will add extra connectivity for free.

If Mac Otakara’s claims are true, this could be big news for all Apple fans out there, MacRumors reported. Apple has never shipped fast chargers with iPhones that support fast charging -- from the iPhone 8 onwards.

Currently, iPhone users who want to take advantage of the iPhone’s fast charging features will need to spend nearly $50 to buy an 18W USB-C power adapter and a USB-C to Lightning connector.

If the Cupertino-based company does start shipping these chargers along with the iPhones, it will allow users to save that much money and still enjoy the benefits of fast charging.

What’s more, the USB-C to Lightning connector will allow iPhone users to connect their Apple smartphones to the latest MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models without having to spend an additional penny to do so.

Other interesting features

The new iPhones are expected to come with some interesting features, not just a fast charging accessory out of the box. Reports say these new smartphones will come with upgraded camera setups.

The successor to the iPhone XR, aptly unofficially referred to as the iPhone XR2, might come with a dual-camera setup. This setup, which is an obvious upgrade to the one found in the iPhone XR, is expected to feature a telephoto lens similar to the one found in the iPhone XS and XS Max.

The upcoming iPhone 11 and 11 Max, on the other hand, are said to feature triple-camera setups. While these cameras can be expected to allow the iPhones to take breathking snaps, they can also be expected to add a slightly unattractive camera bump.
